US Ad Spend per User: Facebook vs. Traditional Media [Chart]

Last week’s post about how social media monetization will drive the digital future made us curious about how Facebook compares to traditional media in terms of ad spend on a per user basis. We pulled and crunched numbers from a variety of sources, and the analysis reveals how underutilized the social network is by advertisers. Business Insider published our analysis yesterday as their Chart of the Day, in an article titled, “The Millions of Ad Spending on Facebook in Context.”
